Abeckaser recently premiered his latest, highly anticipated feature crime thriller, The Perfect Gamble, starring Abeckaser alongside David Arquette and Daniella Pick Tarantino in her feature debut, which was released in North America by Saban Films November 14, 2025 in digital and theatres with a special showing at Tarantino’s The Vista Theatre in Los Angeles November 14-16th, and the official LA premiere held on November 12th. The film was shot in the country of Georgia in 2024. International streaming will be rolling out as it continues to top the US charts. Abeckaser latest and most important film to date, “12 Hours In October, ” filmed in Israel, an emotional feature portrayal based on the horrific October 7th festival attack. This is the only feature film in existence to date based on the faithful day, following the storyline of four different characters, based on real life events, shown from four perspectives, starring an impressive cast of Israeli actors, and filmed on the actual location. The film will be released January 6, 2026 on digital platforms from Apple TV to Amazon to GooglePlay to Fandango, with theatrical release on December 14, 2025. It has already begun screening in top US Cities for exclusive audiences, to get the message of this film out into the community, as the goal is to educate with this movie
Danny A. Abeckaser kicked off his directing with the indie feature film First We Take Brooklyn released in February of 2018, starring Harvey Keitel and AnnaLynne McCord, among many other notable cast members. The feature is based on actual events portrayed through the carefully written script, as well as an ending narration by Fish bringing the viewer to present day Bardejov. An anniversary release of the film will be released this March
Danny is no stranger to the mob-crime genre, having much success on his third directed film in 2019 Mob Town starring Jamie-Lynn Sigler, David Arquette, Robert Davi, PJ Byrne and Jennifer Esposito, still on digital streaming globally. The movie marked a worldwide success, across North America, Europe, Asia and the Middle East among others, also still playing in-flight on American Airlines
Following Mob Town, Danny directed Blackjack: The Jackie Ryan Story. A film about the legendary street basketball player, Jackie Ryan, also set in New York. Abeckaser stayed behind the camera for this project as director and producer, casting Greg Finley, Ashley Greene, Brandon Thomas Lee, Robert Davi and David Arquette as the leading cast. Following its premiere in November of 2020 during the height of the pandemic, the film streamed worldwide with a widespread digital release, and continues to stream across various channels. Abeckaser’s 2021 film, I LOVE US, shot in Los Angeles, is a romantic crime drama that was released on Sept 17th, 2021 co-starring Katie Cassidy and Jackie Cruz. This film brought Abeckaser into a new genre of feature, also with Abeckaser as the lead, further showcasing his depth in the emotional film. Danny was featured in Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman as an actor alongside Robert De Niro and Al Pacino, andco-starred alongside Sam Worthington, David Elliott and longtime friend Harvey Keitel, in LANSKY, which released in summer 2021 and remained in the top 10 on itunes for US streaming for several weeks
Selective when it comes to the projects he works on, Abeckaser's first major foray into cinema was 2010's Sundance favorite Holy Rollers directed by Kevin Asch, where Danny stars alongside Jesse Eisenberg and Justin Bartha, also a producer on the movie. Following the film's success, Danny went on to land one of his better-known roles as Dino Lapron in The Iceman, appearing alongside Ray Liotta, Winona Ryder, Chris Evans, and James Franco. To date, he regards the part as one of his favorite and most challenging roles
Abeckaser continued momentum completing a longtime project writing and co-producing the film Club Life, which was loosely based on his life as a New York nightclub power player.
