Marina Maximilian

A classically trained pianist, musician, virtuoso singer, and jazz vocalist, Marina Maximilian is one of Israel's greatest and most notable talents, regarded by some as a "phenomenon that comes along once in a generation".

Marina Maximilian Blumin was born in 1987 in Ukraine to Igor and Alla, a piano teacher and a musician.

When Marina was 3 years old, the family moved to Israel, and she soon began her musical training playing piano, singing opera and classical music.

Already at the age of 10, Marina began performing in festivals, including a classical duet with singer Charlotte Church at main Israel's millennium celebrations, accompanied by the symphonic orchestra. At the age of 14 she began performing in jazz clubs and since then her reputation precedes her.

Marina became a household name after her participation in “A Star is Born” (the Israeli version of “American Idol”)  in which she won second place.

Since then, Marina released her English album Step Into My World which reached PLATINUM Album status and received raving reviews all over the local media. Her Hebrew album Armonot Ashan and many other singles also received raving reviews all over the local media and was marked as “Top hits”.

Topping the annual music chart for 2014, Marina was awarded "Woman of the Year in Music" by GLGLZ, Israel's leading and most popular radio station. In 2016 Marina was chosen as "Women of the Year" by Israeli TV Channel 9 for her contribution to Russian culture in Israel.

Marina also participated in many concerts around the world, including the Bolzano Jazz Festival in Italy, the Leipzig Opera Ball in Germany, the Chinese New Year’s main celebration event, the UNESCO event in Hanoi, Vietnam and many others. Marina also worked with local and international musicians such as "The Alan Parsons Project", K-Kov, Tamir Muskat (Balkan Beat Box), Offer Nissim, Keren Ann, Avishai Cohen, Avi Leibovich, Jason Lindner, David Hazeltine, Deborah Brown, Leonid Ptachka, Omer Avital, J.K Allen, classical composer and conductor Gil Shohat and many more.

Besides her prolific musical career, Marina is also featured in fashion campaigns as a presenter and also as a respected actress in various television hit dramas. One of them a lead character in Season 3 of The international TV series Fauda, which is broadcasted on NETFLIX.
